Sandhill Overview

Sandhill was formed in the early 1980's in Rustington, West Sussex and was originally a field based sales operation servicing tradesmen in the local counties.

Over the years and with the influence of the mobile phone Sandhill now supplies tradesmen throughout the United Kingdom via overnight national carriers.

Our staff are experienced and have a through knowledge of our products and the market place. We understand the importance of quality service and products at a fair price and have a range of Sandhill branded products and established trade brands that we feel reflects this.

Delivery

Our standard service is next working day to any mainland UK address with a postcode. Carriage is paid on all orders above £60 + Vat and orders beneath are charged a £6.00 + Vat small delivery surcharge. Morning delivery options are available at a pre-agreed surcharge.

Its better for us both if delivery is successful on first attempt and therefore we always encourage you to provide an option to deliver without a signature. This way there are no delays and additional costs. All we ask is that you assess the safety of the instruction. For example, please avoid asking us to leave by the front door if you live on a busy high street.

We have used Fastway for many years and have a very good understanding of how they operate. Delivery Failure is very rare and on the odd occasion that your goods have not arrived we advise you to contact us direct so we can resolve your problem for you.

We try to send your order the day you place it and send your net 30 day invoice the day after by 2nd class post. While we have tried and tested systems for monitoring deliveries, please call us if you ever receive your invoice before your order as this should never happen.

Account Facilities

No forms or references are necessary as we make instant decisions via Equifax and Creditsafe.com online. All goods sent to account customers are on a net 30 day basis and so orders placed today should be paid in full by no later than the end of next month.

We run consumer reports on sole traders and generally speaking as long as you appear on the electoral role for the last 3 years and are default free then you will be granted a credit facility.

Company reports are run on limited business. As long as you have filed some accounts and again are default free then credit will generally be granted. If not; we look at you as individuals and run a consumer search on you.

We have never believed in credit limits, we prefer to make an assessment based on your buying levels and payment performance; like anything; it's about give and take.

Don't be offended if you are initially refused a credit account, it's not personal. We take pro forma card payments so we can still trade and rest assured, if after a few hassle free pro forma payments we will be happy to review your credit facility.

Payment

All of the following are accepted: cheques, internet/ bacs and all major credit and debit cards except for amex.

Cashflow is a problem for us all and so payments by the due date are much appreciated. We understand this isn't always the case so please ensure that we are kept informed: communication is the key.

Complaints

We are proud of our products and always expect you to be satisfied. If you are dissatisfied for any reason please stop using the product in question and immediately contact us with us as much detail as possible to enable us to resolve your problem.

Collections

Returns to Sandhill

We use Ups for this service and like our delivery service we can do this from any address in the UK with a postcode. However because of modern day security issues we do need someone to be present for collection. Whether the address is rural or commercial controls the collection times we can offer. As a guide, collections are generally made in the afternoons.

Warranty repairs

All power tools sold by Sandhill come with a minimum 1 year collect, repair and return warranty. Each tool manufacturer has its own specific procedures and thus we are unable to detail it here. Nevertheless, we do supervise the repair procedure to ensure that you are satisfied and so in the first instance please contact us and do so again if you need to.
